The Ancient Spirit
The Ancient Spirit—also known as the Genesis Hydra, the Ancient Ancestors, or simply Maker—is the oldest being in existence, and the Creator of everything. The magical energy of the elements and of gems—including the life force found in Spirit Gems—is sourced from this creative King. Because of His nature as a spirit—and The Ancient Spirit, at that—no-one has ever seen His true form, and lived; it is not that the Ancient Spirit is malevolent in any way, but rather, that the Light of the Spirit is so pure that no mortal being can gaze upon it, and live.

Three beings in one, this Hydra created the universe and Time itself. Planets, moons, stars, plants, animals, minerals, life of every form were made by this Ancient Spirit. The three heads are called Podder, Orzel, and Gowoab, and They are often collectively referred to as the Ancient Ancestors.
