~Ancient Elemental Poem on the Elements in Nature
Overview
Wind, also known as Ventus, or Air, is one of the nine elements which make up Spyro’s world. It is found in atmosphere and breath, used by Dragons, Griffins, Opinicus, Pegasi, and other flying creatures. The Airplant is an important bioindicator species. The color used to represent Wind is cyan turquoise, or else blue, white, or gray. Strength and direction are the qualities associated with this element. Wind is a lightweight element, working to defy gravity, and to convey breath and messages through the air. Several musical instruments use this element to produce sound. Wind is at its apogee during the Season of Wind. The Dark form of Wind is called Dead Air, because it will suffocate those who breath it in. Wind's complementing opposite is Earth.
Interplay With the Other Elements
Air is a natural predator of earth, as it would erode the very stone Earth Skylanders would embody. While the Air element is strong when facing the Earth element, it is much less able to deal with Fire. Air Skylanders must be extra careful when facing Fire-powered enemies.
~Elements - Air & Earth, page 40
The element of Wind is strong against Earth (as well as some forms of Life), but weak against all forms of Fire and Fear. It is on roughly equal terms against Shadow, Alchemy, and Electricity, as well as all forms of Ice.
